EXPLORING
The students explores different pictures of people wearing different outfit from magazine and newspaper. They worked independently to give opinion about the pictures. They also identified the adornment and style of the clothing.
RESEARCHING INFORMATION
The students continued to list about types of pattern and motives of fabric from local and international. They also learned how the colors and patterns may have specific meaning that implicitly or explicitly stated. They visited Textile museum and had an experience of Batik making. They realized that creating Batik is not easy and needs patience.
DEEPENING UNDERSTANDING
After understanding about the types of local and international, the students had an opportunities to discuss further about how to design clothing using different materials. It helped them to learn about certain expectations of how they should act and dress to avoid misconception.
MAKING CONNECTION
The students started to make connection of what they learned by creating a fashion journal for their summative assessment. They worked in pairs and made a design of clothing using different media. It was a challenging task since they were paired boy and girl.
