As a start, students communicate non-verbal through arts to express their feelings and thought in groups. Then they presented into pictures, song lyrics, role play and poems. It was an engaging learning since students can express their thoughts into different forms and ways.
As a follow up, they review about elements of arts and types of arts using videos. They recall what they have learned in Grade 2 when discussing about arts as well.
To make it more meaningful, students were encouraged to bring an artifacts to recognize arts (visual arts, music, and dance) that provide information from different places, cultures, and time.

How did the students explore arts from different cultures and time?
The student learned from different medias. They explored from books, video and also expert. We invited Mr. Adi who explained about one type of visual art which is called Manga. He shared the history of Manga and also how to create a manga drawing. The students were also practicing and following the tutorial of how create manga drawing. |
